Why switch from a synthetic perfume to a natural one?
-
Because there is a lot of evidence of the harmful effects on health of the ingredients used in synthetic fragrances. Our perfumes, being 100% natural, only include ingredients derived from nature and therefore are safe for you and the environment.
-
How long do these perfumes last on the skin?
-
It is important to know that a truly natural perfume will not last as long on the skin as a synthetic one. That said, how long a botanical perfume lasts will depend primarily on your skin's own chemistry, as well as how hydrated it is. In general, our solid perfumes should stay on your skin for 3 to 4 hours before having to reapply. For this reason, the Bruma format is ideal, take it wherever you want and re-perfume yourself when you need it!
-
Is it safe to use during pregnancy?
-
Although our perfumes are 100% natural, some essential oils can be harmful during pregnancy (especially in the first trimester). We recommend that you discuss the use of our perfumes with your midwife / doula / doctor.
-
Are perfumes only for women?
-
At Bruma we believe that perfumes have no gender and we declare them unisex. The scents of nature should not have an attributed gender. We try not to reinforce gender stereotypes with our fragrances, packaging and advertising.
-
Can the containers be composted?
-
Yes, you must remove the magnets with a knife and then you can put it in your compost bin.
-
Why did my perfume have little white dots on the surface?
-
Those little dots are nothing more than granules of shea butter, an unrefined natural vegetable butter, that solidify faster than the rest of our ingredients. Unrefined natural butters, like the one we use in our perfumes, can occasionally separate with changes in temperature. It is possible that we see these little dots more frequently in the summer months, however, changes in temperature as our perfumes accompany you, can occur at any time of the year. This, more than a failure, is a sign that we formulate our products without synthetic stabilizers or emulsifiers. So don't worry, it doesn't affect the quality of your perfume at all.
-
I left my perfume in a warm place and it melted. What I do?
-
Don't worry, just leave it in a cold place or in the refrigerator until it solidifies again. Remember that being a 100% natural product, you must keep it in a cool and dry place.
-
Are any of its ingredients tested on animals?
-
No, we ensure that all our ingredients are cruelty free.
